Updated Makeup Routine (High End + Drug Store!)

This post is honestly soooo overdue! I have sat down to write this post what seems like a million times and then I get distracted with another project, my makeup routine changes and I have to start all over again. The last few months, I have finally gotten down a routine that I swear by and I have been dying to share it with you all! I have also been super into skincare lately (some might say obsessing over it.. haha) and I can't wait to share that with you all too in the near future!

I have been doing my makeup since I was pretty young (I got hooked when I was in theater productions and had my stage makeup done!) so it has changed quite a bit over the years. I have also tried tons and tons of different products because my skin is so weird its hard to find a product that I really love and will continue to use. I use a combination of high end products that I call my holy grail products because I really haven't found a drugstore dupe that gets the job done. However, being in college means I still use drugstore products because of their cost efficiency. For the girls like me that are balling on a budget, I have listed the best drugstore dupes that I have found for almost every product.

Below I have broken down each of the steps in the order that I put them on in the morning with a description of each product:

I have been using this Morphe palette for a little bit now and I am obsessed. The pigment is amazing, I love the variety of colors and they all blend so easy. Plus, you can't beat a great palette this size under $30.

Mascara (Tarte, Loreal, Loreal Primer):
Out of all of the products that I use, mascara is by far my favorite. My favorite high end mascaras are Tarte "maneater" and "Lights, Camera, Lashes." I also really love this Too Faced mascara. My all time favorite drug store mascara is this Loreal combo! I have purchased this primer so many times because it is really that good.

I hardly ever use eyeliner anymore, I just don't have time! But when I do I really like this drugstore option. If you're looking for a great high end eyeliner, I have heard great things about this one

Primer
I got this primer on sale during Black Friday and I am not exaggerating when I say it is THE BEST primer I have ever used. It feels so light and airy on my face without being greasy and it helps my makeup to last all day long. The packing recommended that you wait for it to dry after you put it on so I usually will apply it and damp my beauty blender while I wait for it to dry. After it dries it helps your makeup go on so smooth.

This is my favorite foundation during every single season. My skin has always had a mind of it's own and I honestly never know if it's going to be oily or super dry. This foundation is moisturizing without making my skin feel cakey and it is almost full coverage.

Concealer:
I'll be honest, this isn't my favorite concealer in the world but for a drugstore dupe it does the trick. My favorite concealer is the IT "bye bye under eye". If you're looking for a full coverage concealer that will last all day I would highly recommend trying it out.

Setting Powder:
In the past I have used this Laura Mercier setting powder (and I still love it!) but when school started I felt like I needed a little more help with my under eye situation so I decided to try the LM brightening powder instead. It seriously does what it says it does. It is so brightening I have to be careful not to get it anywhere but my under eyes!

Blush (in the color "seduce") & Bronzer:
If you have just started getting into makeup and are super suspicious about purchasing high end makeup, I highly recommend subscribing to Ipsy! You can read all about it on their website, but basically for $10 a month you can receive 5 different beauty related items. That's where I originally received this Tarte blush and bronzer and I have been obsessed ever since. I have been able to use this bronzer into the winter months and it still looks super natural. I also really love this blush!

Setting Spray:
This is super random, but for the last few years I have used the Mario Badescu Rosewater spray to set my makeup. It smells amazing and it helps my makeup to last all day even if that's not necessarily it's purpose. Also, you can't beat a setting spray for $7!

Outfit details:
Similar fuzzy pullover // leggings // similar cabin socks

Thank you so much for reading! I would love to hear if you love any of these products too in the comments below!

XOXO
