Work Wear Wednesday with a pop of Color

Jacket: Topshop (blush version here) // Denim: STS Blue ($45)
Heels: Merona (also love these!)    Clutch: Kate Spade (really wanting this one!)
Blouse: Lulu's // Sunnies: Charming Charlie's

This is the first chapter in a series of Work Wear Wednesday posts coming to the The Dainty Bouquet! Since the majority of my readers are college age gals- heading into the professional work force for the first time (yay!) or boss ladies already kicking it in the business world I thought it would be helpful to provide some outfit inspo that you can really invest in. Either way I've had so many readers express the need for some affordable pieces to add into a professional wardrobe so here it is!

I will be starting my student teaching really soon so I am stocking up on all the fun professional looking pieces I can find. Starting with this jacket! We didn't do a ton of shopping when we were in London, but I did happen to run into a Topshop (because when in Europe!) and my eye immediately went to this peplum jacket. Blue is not usually my thing, I don't own many items that are blue other than jeans so I was a little hesitant to even try this on. However, I'm so glad I did! The material is so soft and comfortable. A solid pair of black denim and heels are also crucial when putting together a professional wardrobe. I have a few pairs of black heels, but these leather ones are my favorite. I also really like suede for fall/early winter when there's not a ton of snow on the ground.

My favorite way to add some personality into your business wear is through prints and colors. Polka dots are my love language, y'all. I purchased this blouse a while ago but I snagged this one from the NSale this summer! If you ever feel like your work wear is getting a little boring, try adding some fun neutral prints!
