20 Things I've Learned by 20 + a giveaway!

Top // Skirt // Similar handbag // Similar black pumps // Balloons // Similar necklace (mine was a gift from Andrew and it says "I love you, Han" in his handwriting. I swear I'm never taking it off...)

When I was a little girl I dreamed about what it would look and feel like to be twenty. I had hoped that by the time I left my teen years, I was happy with who I had turned out to be. Fortunately, I have never felt more comfortable in my own skin; however, as I look back on the last twenty years of life I have to laugh because twenty is far from a destination but rather another step on a continuous journey. God is molding me daily into the woman that I am meant to be and shaping my life one step at a time. The past 7,300 days on this planet have been quite the journey so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

So without further ado, here are the top 20 things that I've learned by 20
(Ps. read all the way to the bottom for giveaway details & 2 coupon codes!):

1.) Always say you're sorry. You will never regret apologizing for something and saving a relationship. Just trust me on this one.
2.) Remember it is just a bad day, not a bad life. The comeback is always so much bigger than the set back so stay positive and stay strong through the storm.
3.) Learn to praise someone else's beauty without compromising your own.
4.) If you're having a really bad day, you can pet puppies at PetSmart on Saturdays and Sundays for free and as long as you want.
5.) You don't have to be great at something to enjoy doing it. (i.e dancing, yodeling, etc.)
6.) Watch how people treat you when you're at your highest and lowest point. The people that stick with you through both are your true friends.
7.) Always keep your family as number one. You will never regret the time you spend with them.
8.) Boy kinda suck sometimes, but chocolate heals a multitude of wounds. Also, one day a boy will come into your life that will treat you like you deserve and 100X better. Hold onto him because he's a keeper and you're going to need someone to crack jokes with when you're older.
9.) Smiling at people when you walk by them is a nice thing to do and its not even that hard....
10.) If someone says they don't like coffee than they're probably an okay person, but just walk away. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
11.) Trust Gods timing in all things. (Jeremiah 29:11)
12.) You may think you know how that argument/ conversation/ situation is going to go, but it won't go anything like that so spend your time in the shower singing at the top of your lungs.
13.) People will always portray perfect lives on social media. Don't fall into the trap of believing that they're perfect because they aren't and they're just as human as you are.
14.) Don't be afraid to have actual conversations with people. Learn the art of listening and you may be surprised by the relationships that you form.
15.) If somedays you're the only person that appreciates the art that you create, thats okay. Don't ever stop creating. Don't ever stop dreaming. If you're creating to please other people in the first place then you're doing it for the wrong reasons.
16.) Peppermint ice-cream is always a good idea.
17.) Life is way to short to wear boring clothes. If someone doesn't like your personal style, thats okay. Thats why its personal...
18.) Say "I love you" a lot and gives a lot of hugs. This world already has so much hate in it.
19.) It is totally okay if someone doesn't have the same beliefs as you. If you aren't sure what to do to that person then see #18.
20.) The only true disability in life is a bad attitude.
