3 Modern Ways to Gift Wrap This Christmas

Wrapping presents is one of my all time favorite things about the holiday season. Every since I was a little girl, I have loved helping my mom wrap presents! I would make it my personal job to pick out matching bows and ribbons for each and help her make homemade name tags. This year I thought it would be fun to take it up a level and get creative.

Below I have listed three of my favorite ways to add some modern charm to your wrapping this Christmas:

1.) Fabric wrapping
Ever have a tiny little package that can sometimes we awkward to wrap? Ever have left over fabric scraps that you have no idea what to do with? Well i've got the answer to your dilemma... use them to wrap your presents! I had these scraps lying around from a past project (and I didn't want to get rid of them because the patterns are so cute!) so it was a simple fix. Plus, I think it adds some extra dimension that is so pretty! If you don't have left over fabric scraps in your house then you can purchase fabric squares from your local Joann's or Hobby Lobby.

2.) Brown paper packages tied up with string
This obviously isn't a new idea (especially if you couldn't help but sing along when you read that), but I took mine to the next level by grabbing my stamps and adding little snowflakes all over the packages then tying them with some cute ribbon and burlap. My favorite thing about the brown paper is that it is blank canvas. Plus, the simplistic & farmhouse feel is adored by everyone right now. I like to think Joanna Gaines would be proud ;)

3.) Newspaper & nature
This last one is definitely my favorite. When I told my mom I wanted to wrap with newspaper she was like "ohh okay. That'll be cute..." ahaha but I think we were both pleasantly surprised with how cute it turned out. We have a ton of cedar trees in our back yard so I ran out and grabbed some pretty foliage to tie up with the ribbon (Pine needles would look beautiful as well!).

I hope this inspired you to get creative with your wrapping this year! It doesn't have to be perfect, just from the heart. Am I leaving out any ideas? Comment below your favorite unconventional way to gift wrap.
